"The Interfaith Council plays a very important role in bringing members of all the faith communities in Bolton together to exchange views and it helps us to understand our different religions and cultures. It is part of the social cohesion fabric of the Town. I have attended several events and supported their activities whenever I could. My last visit was to help launch a youth 'wing', which I hope is strongly supported. Ignorance breeds suspicion and contempt; knowledge provides tolerance and understanding. I wish the Interfaith Council well in its future work."
